Form Jung Mi Koo / 具 静美 （クー・ジュンミ）
作業工程の一瞬の出来事すべてが記憶され、作り手の日々の出来事や感情までものみこんでいくガラスという素材。
完成した作品は、作家と素材の対話を映す鏡である。
そしてそれは作家とガラスを取り巻くすべての事柄を記憶する装置でもある。
ハワイで過ごした十年間の日々の記憶、帰国してからの日常を記録するために、私は作品を作り続けています。
Hot glass has a "memory" -- all your actions during the course of making are retained within the piece until it is shattered or melted down.
These memories often affect the outcome of a piece and can sometimes determine its success or failure.
Because I put my own experiences and emotions into my work, I consider glass a memory repository.
In this way my pieces become not just sculptural objects but also a record of my life.
